Modern conversion technology can extract power, heat, recovered materials, and industrial feedstock from a single waste stream. Most facilities are still configured to produce only one.

Configuration choices, not waste composition, are usually the binding constraint on output diversity: electricity, process heat, recovered carbon materials, and, depending on the technology pathway, hydrogen precursors can be extracted from the same feedstock. Facilities designed around a single output leave most of that potential value uncaptured.
The deployment model we use configures each facility around the outputs its surrounding region can actually absorb, treating the waste stream as a feedstock optimization problem rather than a disposal problem.
